Ralph Dixon, DPM
Dr. Dixon was raised in the small mountain town of Payson, Utah, where his family has lived for five generations. He completed his undergraduate studies at nearby Brigham Young University. During his undergraduate studies he took two years away from school to serve as a representative for his church in Sweden.
He received his medical degree as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1983.
Following academic studies in Chicago, Dr. Dixon received a commission as a podiatrist in the United States Army and was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, where he directed the Podiatry Section at Bassett Army Community Hospital. Following additional military training, Dr. Dixon was stationed at Ft. Ord, California. While there he supervised the Podiatry Department and was director of the Podiatric Surgical Residency training program at Silas B. Hayes Army Hospital.
Upon completion of military service, Dr. Dixon went into private practice in Fairbanks in 1992. His goal was, and always has been, to provide the highest quality foot and ankle care available to his patients.
Dr. Dixon and his wife, Janet, have seven children and eleven grandchildren. Along with their West Highland White Terrier, Jezzie, and Maltese, Tika, they have made their home in Fairbanks. They enjoy family time, travel and being outdoors.
